The product will help guide review of development proposals, inform development mitigation, and influence City capital budget decisions. The Study is generally bound by:

    The Town of Weymouth, through its Office of Planning and Community Development, seeks proposals for a Columbian Square Land Use, Parking and Marketing Plan, pursuant to MGL c. 30B as amended. Columbian Square is one of four village centers located within the Town.  Funds have been identified to address the dangerous intersection in the Square. The purpose of this study is to complement the intersection reconstruction with a land use, parking and marketing plan.

    The City of Somerville is seeking a consultant with experience with cultural facilities to create a master plan and business plan for its 1903 Armory. This master plan will guide how the Armory will continue to serve as a community center for the arts, such as how the space will be used and managed and how the proposed approach will be financially sustained.

    To develop this plan, the consultant will work collaboratively with the Office of Strategic Planning & Community Development (OSPCD) Economic Development Division, the Somerville Arts Council, and the Capital Projects Division. The consultant will report directly to the Economic Development Division for contract management purposes.
