The Planners' Cinema & Social 2025 is coming to Woburn with a bang on March 14!
Start the weekend in a PLAN-TASTIC fashion with a screening of the film: "Martha's Vineyard v. DeSantis" and discussion, immediately followed by the APA-MA Winter Social at the Brickyard Restaurant in Woburn. The event includes an after-film discussion with director David Heilbroner. The film and discussion are approved for 1.5 AICP CE Credits.
In their decades-long careers as documentary filmmakers, Vineyarders David Heilbroner and Kate Davis have traveled the country covering nationally-recognizable issues from FBI entrapment to police violence. "Martha’s Vineyard vs. DeSantis" covers the two migrant flights that arrived on the Island in September of 2022 and the ensuing legal battles against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his administration’s migrant relocation program. The issues highlighted by the film are now more relevant than ever.
This event is jointly sponsored by MA Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA-MA) , Consulting Planners of MA (CPM) and the MA Association of Planning Professionals
(MAPP) who are working together again to bring yet another fantastic continuing educational, networking and social opportunity for their memberships. Plus, pick up some AICP CE Credits. A $10 admission helps make programs like this possible!
This is yet another event you do not want to miss. Space is limited to 35 attendees on a first come, first serve basis. Registration is required to attend.
