Watch the King Tide with us on June 14!

Consulting Planners of Massachusetts' annual tour is a chance to witness firsthand the power of the super-high "King Tide" and sea-level rise at night under dark skies in Dorchester on Sunday night, June 14. We will meet at the beach and hear about planning to help improve resiliency in the area.

Event is open to all. Participants drive to Tenean Beach on Conley Street (off Morrissey Blvd./Freeport Street; parking available) or drive with bike or bicycle directly to MBTA Mattapan station for a bike ride along the Neponset River and on to Tenean Beach.  Parts of the path are dark so riders must have strong, working headlight and wear something reflective; helmet recommended. We will have pizza and snacks in the beach picnic area.

NOTE that there are two meeting times depending on how you will be arriving:
Cyclists meet at Mattapan station at 9:30 p.m.
If interested in forming bike routes from Cambridge; contact treasurerCPM@aol.com

Drivers and others meet at Tenean Beach at 10:15 p.m.

Event takes place on Sunday, June 14.
Register by Friday, June 12, at 2:00 p.m. Free.

Additional Meeting Information:

1. Drivers: Meet at the picnic tables on the grass at the south end of the beach past the playground.

2. Bikers: Meet at Mattapan Station and send an email to:  TreasurerCPM@aol.com to let us know you will be riding with us to the beach.

Reminder: Cyclists must have a strong working headlight and wear something reflective
