Duxbury needs a consultant experienced in area master plans, market analysis, village center development, redevelopment, and urban design. The ideal candidate will have the civil engineering capacity to evaluate infrastructure elements and will have excellent public participation and outreach skills/experience.

Hall’s Corner is a key existing mixed-use district in Duxbury. The project would evaluate options for additional housing including stand-
alone multifamily, apartments above storefronts, infill two- to four-family buildings, and other options that fit the area. Estimated budget for the approx. 8-month effort is $90,000.

Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) is issuing this Request for Proposals for a consultant to assist with a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan funded by a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant awarded to BRPC by the FHWA.  Final product will be a Berkshire County Comprehensive Safety Action Plan with locations of recommended Implementation projects along with their intended program(s) to pursue (i.e. Safer People, Safer Speeds, etc.), the transportation planning approach(es) they'll utilize (i.e. Engineering, Education, Enforcement, Equity), planning-level budgets and timelines, and types of work to be performed, and recommendations for Policy and Process changes that will reduce fatalities and serious injuries.
