The Trails Committee seeks  professional services from experienced planning, urban design, transportation, or engineering firms to develop a plan for a connection that will address safety and access between the Sweets Knoll Rail-Trail and Taunton River Trails network, identify community goals & priorities, conduct an alternatives analysis of the route & intersection redesigns, and an implementation plan.  Approx. $40,000; must be complete by June 30, 2023.

The 2021 Economic Development Bond Bill, titled An Act Enabling Partnerships for Growth, authorized $50 million to be administered by the Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) in “financial assistance in the form of grants or loans to accelerate and support the creation of low-income and moderate-income housing in close proximity to transit nodes”.
