    The Town of Barnstable is seeking a consultant or team to lead a planning and design process to evaluate the existing Downtown Hyannis traffic network and streetscape, engage the community for input and feedback, and create an urban design and transportation plan for Downtown Hyannis that:

    • Addresses congestion that can increase as residential density is increased
    • Places more of an emphasis on pedestrians
    • Enhances the public realm through placemaking in support of economic development
    • Employs traffic calming to enhance safety
    • Encourages multi-modal transportation

    The Norwottuck Network, a 501(c)3 organization, is hiring a consultant to present evidence-based data to project the nature and volume of resultant economic activity for the state and surrounding trail communities if the entire 104± mile Mass. Central Rail Trail is fully completed. Not to exceed $100,000.

    Town of Dighton invites proposals from consultants for a feasibility study to connect the future 2-mile DCR Sweets Knoll Rail-Trail to the fabric of Dighton and part of the Taunton River Trails network. Mandatory briefing May 17, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Dighton's Old Town Hall, 1111 Somerset Ave., Dighton

    The Trails Committee seeks  professional services from experienced planning, urban design, transportation, or engineering firms to develop a plan for a connection that will address safety and access between the Sweets Knoll Rail-Trail and Taunton River Trails network, identify community goals & priorities, conduct an alternatives analysis of the route & intersection redesigns, and an implementation plan.  Approx. $40,000; must be complete by June 30, 2023.
